Don’t Let Covid Keep You From Reaching Your Fitness Goals
The Delta variant of Covid-19 is the latest in a long line of challenges that have prevented many people from reaching their exercise-related goals. But if you want to get stronger, reduce your risk of disease, improve your endurance, or achieve any other fitness goal, all you need is a little bit of space and the will to succeed!

Everybody has something they can use for working out. Maybe a jump rope, or some dumbbells or even some gallon jugs that can be filled with water!
But let’s assume, just for a moment, that you literally have nothing. Not a single thing that can be used for exercise. Barring the possibility that you live in an actual box, move your table back a few inches, set your phone timer for 1 minute and try this out:
Shadowboxing + Burpee Workout
21 minutes of exercise total, 7 rounds:
- Shadowboxing (jab, cross): 1 minute
- 30 seconds rest
- Burpees: 1 minute
- 30 seconds rest
- Shadowboxing (freestyle with uppercuts, hooks, jabs and crosses): 1 minute
- 30 seconds rest and repeat the whole series 7 times!
Punch as hard as you can and move as fast as you can the whole time. You’ll quickly find yourself sweating like crazy and ready to collapse.

Maybe not. But it’s something. We’re all stuck in this Covid situation that we don’t want to be in. But that doesn’t mean we can’t make the most out of it and accomplish our goals.
